Anyone interested in applying for a job as a security guard in Ontario must complete a 40-hour Ontario security guard course, which includes first aid and CPR certification.

No, if you already have a valid First Aid/ CPR certificate not expiring within the next year issued by an accredited Canadian training provider listed under the WSIB, then you are not required to retake the course. However, you would still be required to do the 33.5-hour security guard training course.

Yes, once you complete all of Securtac’s training modules a final test is issued at the end. You must achieve a minimum 65% score. Only after that do we permit our students to write the final test with the Ministry.
